Requesting his arrear [an annuity of £100 on the estate of the Duchess of Buckingham] and explaining why it would be most ideal if he brought it to him when he visits "after Christmass [sic]"; indicating that he has recently seen Lord Bathurst and is currently spending a great deal of time with Lord Bolingbroke; asking for particulars regarding a recommended subscription to "the Print"; explaining that he won't be spending much time at Orrery's home on Duke Street; briefly referencing the declining state of Swift and abruptly ending the letter to avoid growing melancholy.
